Red Rocks, Agre and AI......

Been a bit slack with this lately, spending too much time in the real world...

came back in today and checked the mail and had another lengthy list of URL's from Red Rock Eater, the web filter service run by Phil Agre.

Phil is a philosopher and an artificial intelligence theorist - he straddles the science/humanities divide with some dexterity, as illustrated by this essay of his (from The Volume 4, issue 2 of the Stanford Humanities Review, which is devoted to the exploration of convergences and dissonances between Artificial Intelligence and the Humanities).
None of this is particularly light reading, but good for printing out and perusing in the bath....

The Red Rock Eater newsletter features lots of non-mainstream war links as well as tech stuff, US political links and anti-Microsoft ranting. Recomended!
